Norman Eugene Reynolds passed away February 11, 2020 in Elgin Illinois. He was born September 12, 1936 in Newton, Iowa to V. Foster and Irene Gifford Reynolds, the youngest of 3 children. He graduated with the class of 1955 from Newton High School and worked at the Maytag Company in the mail room prior to joining and serving in the US Navel Reserves. Living in the Chicago area for nearly 50 years, he retired from United Airlines after 37 years. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Outlaw Sprint Car fan. In addition to the many friends in the Chicago area and high school classmates in the Newton area, family left to honor Norm’s memory include his sister, Mary (Jack) Cozad of Sioux Falls, SD, nieces, Sherry (Jim) Reynolds, Buffalo Grove, IL, Jackie (Dan) Doetzel, Sioux Falls, SD, nephews, James (Joyce) Lisonbee, Magna, UT, Jeff (Teresa) Reynolds, Nevada, IA, John (Kim) Cozad, Minneapolis, MN, and Jerry (Kristin) Cozad, Sioux Falls, SD, 5 great-nieces, 3 great-nephews and 2 great-great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew Jim Reynolds, brother Morris Reynolds, and niece Joyce Reynolds Lisonbee. Norm will be interred in the Reynolds family plot at the Newton Union Cemetery, with memorial services later this summer.
