Pamela Kay (Stevens) Davidson

Pamela “Pam” Kay (Stevens) Davidson, 68, of Newton passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.  Memorials to Matt or Grant Davidson will be used to honor their mother’s memory.

  Pam, the daughter of JoAnn (McNew) Southern, was born on July 19, 1956, in Newton. She grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1974. Pam was a homemaker for many years, raising her two sons, Matt and Grant. Later she worked as a Paralegal for the Whirlpool Company, retiring in 2023.  Pamela enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

  Pam is survived by her sons, Matt Davidson (Sadie Forey) of Des Moines and Grant Davidson (Maggie Steinberg) of Pleasant Hill; grand furbabies, Carls, James, and Cookie; and her siblings, Debbie Pherigo of Colorado, Mark (Judy) Stevens of Newton, and Mike Stevens of Newton.  She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, JoAnn and Russ Southern.
