Pamela A. Harrison, 64, of Newton, died Sunday, September 15, 2024. Per Pam’s wishes, a private family burial will be held at a later date.
Pam, the daughter of Howard C. and Carole L. (Webb) Frick, was born on December 12, 1959, in Biloxi, Mississippi. She was an “Army Brat”, living in Mississippi, California, and Germany in her younger years. Her family eventually moved to Newton, where Pam graduated from Newton High School in 1978. She then attended La’ James College for cosmetology. Pam worked as a cosmetologist for several years. She later drove school bus for Newton schools for many years. Pam was united in marriage with Michael Harrison on July 7, 1990, in Newton. Together they enjoyed attending drag races, fishing in Minnesota, and hunting. Pam also loved watching sports and had recently started watching golf regularly.
Pam was a constant presence in her family’s lives. She enjoyed watching the kids’ and grandkids’ sports and activities and took her grandkids on several trips. She was an amazing mom and wonderful grandma who was there to support and stand up for her family under any circumstance. She had a great heart and was willing to do anything for anyone.
Those left to honor Pam’s memory include her sons, Brett (Lacey) Bozarth of Newton and Joshua Harrison of Newton; her bonus daughter, Lacy (Justin) Schippers of Newton; her grandchildren: Danielle Harrison, Landon Bozarth, Haleigh Bozarth, Harper Harrison, Scarlett “Sunny” Harrison, and Jacob Schippers; her great-grandchildren, Gema Reeves and Aglaia Harrison; her mother, Carole Frick; and her brother, Fred (Joy) Frick. She was preceded in death by her father; husband, Mike Harrison; granddaughter, Dallis Harrison; and her sister, Susan Frick.
