Patricia R. (Stines) Boden

   Patricia Ruth Boden, 90, of Newton, died Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Accura Healthcare of Marshalltown.  Private services will be held.  The Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton is handling the arrangements.

   Pat, the daughter of Gilbert and Beatrice “Ruth” (Edgeton) Stines, was born November 12, 1935, in Monroe. She grew up in the Monroe/Knoxville area and graduated from Monroe High School.  Pat was united in marriage with Leonard Boden on August 1, 1959. She had worked at Dunlap Manufacturing and The Vernon Company before working in housekeeping for several years at the Jasper County Care Facility.  Pat enjoyed getting to know the residents there and cared about them deeply. She and Leonard enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and occasional trips to the casino.  They had also been members of the Moose Lodge. 

   Pat is survived by her husband, Leonard of Newton and 3 sons: Michael Boden, Bob Boden, and Jim Boden, all of Newton. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jim Stines.
