Patrick Duffy

Patrick M. Duffy, 86, of Montezuma, Iowa, formerly of Minneapolis, Minnesota, died on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Newton Healthcare. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials in Patrick’s name (checks payable to Debra Paulson) may be left at the funeral home.

Patrick, the son of John Leo and Effie Mae (O’Hare) Duffy, was born on July 24, 1937 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated with the class of 1955 from DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis and went on to work in Accounting at Northern States Power Company. Patrick was a long-time member of the American Kennel Club and the Minnesota Boxer Club. He loved dogs, gardening, art, and was very proud of being Irish. Special thanks for the gentle loving care given by the St Croix Hospice team, especially Dayle, and all the staff at Newton Health Care Center in Newton, IA. 

Patrick is survived by his children, Debra (Jeff) Paulson, Elizabeth (Pat) Stockhaus, and Michael (Carol) Duffy; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Rick Stokes; siblings, Frank Duffy, Ethel Knight, John Duffy, Marguerite (“Peggy”) Schultz, and infant sister, Helen Duffy.
