Paul W. Driskell

Paul Wesley Driskell, 78, of Newton, died Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Valley Vista Nursing and Rehab.  A celebration of life will be held from 1-5 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the Newton American Legion. Memorials in Paul’s name (checks made payable to Mike Driskell) can be left at the funeral home.

   Paul, the son of George and Minnie (Blakeley) Driskell, was born August 24, 1947, in Grinnell.  He had been a member of the Progress Industries family, where he was part of the DayHab program.  He enjoyed watching tv—especially Westerns, going to summer camp, and spending time with his family.

   Paul is survived by his brother, Mike Driskell of Newton; and two nephews, Dave Jensen of Newton and Dan Jensen of Grinnell. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Deloris Jensen.
