Robert Wayne Warner, 93, of Newton died on Friday, July 7, 2023, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials to the Jasper County Historical Museum may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
Robert, the son of Arthur Merel and Mary Ellen (Miller) Warner, was born on November 7, 1929 at home in Jasper County. He attended Malaka #3 rural school and then Baxter High School. Robert was a farmer his whole life and lived in the Baxter and Mingo areas. He loved dogs and had owned many throughout the years. He was a member of Farm Bureau.
Robert is survived by his siblings, Catherine Osborn, Patricia Horsman, Margie Loupee, and Ronald (Sue) Warner and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank (Vivian) Warner, Edward (Lorraine) Warner, Commodore (Donna Mae) Warner, Richard Warner, and Jerald (Helen) Warner; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nadine (Fred) Fricke and Donna (Marvin) Ver Daught; brothers-in-law, Robert Osborn, Thomas “Jim” Horsman, and Thomas Loupee; sister-in-law, Rosalie Warner; and several nieces and nephews.
