Robert “Bob” Joseph Finch, 63, of Kellogg died on Friday, March 21, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials in Bob’s name (checks payable to Marilyn Finch) may be left at the funeral home.
Bob, the son of Harold and Geraldine (Krough) Finch, was born on February 21, 1962, in Newton. He was a lifelong resident of Jasper County. Bob was united in marriage with Marilyn Wheeler in 1999 in Corydon. He worked as a farmer and a self-employed mechanic. He built his first engine from the ground up while he was still in high school. Bob also enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, woodworking, cheering on the Steelers, and riding his Harley.
Bob is survived by his wife, Marilyn Finch of Kellogg; daughter, Ashly (Joe) Medeiros of Tennessee; step-children, Josh Phipps of Missouri, Amber Wheeler of Florida, and Corey Thompson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his grandchildren, Nevaeh (Matt) Bost, Cooper Cosby, Brynlee Cosby, Pyper Cosby, Rylee (Tyler) Leris, Bobbi Lynn Finch, Faith Finch, Granger Phipps, Addy Clark, Camden Talamantez, Gabe Talamantez, Alexis Thompson, Carissa Thompson, and Haylee Thompson; one great-grandchild on the way; his siblings, Deborah Krueger of Grinnell, Steven Finch of Kellogg, and Jeff Finch of Newton; and his beloved dog, Bullet. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert “Bobby” (Jaime) Finch; and his brothers, David Finch and Gene Finch.
