Roger Craig Rawlins

Roger Craig Rawlins, 74, of Kellogg, died on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center. A celebration of life will be held at the Monkey House in Kellogg from 3-5 p.m., Saturday, March 18, followed by drinks and conversation. Guest are encouraged to wear sports attire as Roger was a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Cubs, and Iowa Hawkeyes.  Memorials in Roger’s name (checks made payable to Clint Rawlins) may be left at the celebration of life or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

Roger, the son of Dwight and Bessie (O’Dell) Rawlins, was born on December 4, 1948 in Chariton. He graduated from Newton Senior High School and then served his country during Vietnam. Roger worked at Maytag from 1985 until the closure of the company.

Roger is survived by his three children, Corey (Jennifer) Rawlins, Clint Rawlins, and Mindi (Shawn) Warndorf; eight grandchildren, Will, Isabelle, Kaya, Cora, Olivia, Knox, Jett, and Willow; and his siblings, Dwight (Ima) Rawlins, Jr., Marilyn (John) Main, Connie Frahm, and Rick (Sharon Rawlins); and his many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
