Ronald “Ron” William McKinney, 80, died on Monday, September 5, 2022, at Newton HealthCare. No services are scheduled at this time.
Ron, the son of Donald and Margaret (Johnson) McKinney, was born on January 19, 1942, in Newton. He is survived by his sons, Larry D. McKinney of Newton and Andy (Terri) McKinney of Newton; grandchildren, Mary (Chris) Aiken of Grimes, Brittany (Eddie) Eckert of Newton, and A.J. McKinney of Newton; great-grandchildren, Lucy and Evie Eckert of Newton; brothers, Larry (Dixie) McKinney of Newton and Clifford (Sandy) McKinney of Omaha, Nebraska; and several nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by parents and brother, Richard McKinney.
