Sharon Ann Gragg, 79, of Newton died on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Park Centre. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 8, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials in Sharon’s name (checks to Travis Coady) may be left at the funeral home.
Sharon, the daughter of Clarence and Vivian (Hood) Stevens, was born on September 22, 1945 in Newton. She grew up in Newton and attended Newton schools. Sharon was united in marriage with John Coady and they were blessed with six children. Following John’s death, Sharon was married to Lee Gragg in October of 1981 in Newton. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Women of the Moose. Sharon enjoyed doing puzzles, playing computer games, and watching Soap Operas.
Sharon is survived by her sons, Travis (Ardis) Coady of Newton, Terry (Kristy) Coady of Newton, and Kenny Gragg of Perry; daughter-in-law, Pat Coady of Newton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Dixie Isaac of Grinnell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Coady; second husband, Lee Gragg; three sons, Ronald Coady, Steven Fry, and Lee Gragg; three daughters, Kim Bair, Valarie Shepley, and Debra Sirma; her five brothers and two sisters.
