Tanya Ann (McConnell) Anderson

Tanya Ann Anderson, 41, of Newton died on Sunday, March 1, 2020, at her mother’s home in Monroe.  A celebration of life will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.  Memorials in Tanya’s name (checks made payable to Robert Anderson) may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

Tanya, the daughter of Christin and Rebecca (Leedom) McConnell, Sr., was born on October 7, 1978 in Texas.  She lived most of her life in the Newton area where she attended school.  Tanya was united in marriage with Robert Anderson on March 3, 2011, in Newton.  Tanya worked at Graphic Packaging in Newton. She enjoyed spending time with her children and her dogs.  Tanya was a WCA Arm Wrestling Champion and liked to go four-wheeling and camping. 

Tanya is survived by her husband, Robert Anderson of Newton; children, Jacob Anderson (Jaelynn Flake) of Newton, Sarah Niswander of Altoona, Zachary McConnell of Newton, Eric Leimbacher of Altoona, Gavin Trostel of Newton, Jasmine Anderson of Newton, Ariel Anderson of Newton, Anna Anderson of Newton, and Michael Stockdall of Grinnell; her grandchild, Micha; father, Chris (Esperanza) McConnell, Sr. of Newton; mother, Becky (Murray) Barge of Monroe; siblings, Tom (Tabatha) Stoner of Altoona, Damian (Veronica) Cole of Colorado, Chris (Julee) McConnell of Virginia, Nikki (Manual) Vasquez of Newton, Travis McConnell of Newton, Preston McConnell of Newton, Marty McConnell of Monroe, Austin McConnell of Newton, Jesse Barge of Newton, Jayme (Justin) Wells of Newton, Jenna (Shawn) Parker of Ames, Jerrad Barge of Newton, Veronica Stevens of Newton, Valerie (Felipe) Arias of California, and Robert (Laura) Stevens of Florida; and her many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
