Terry Bennett Obituary

Terry Michael Bennett, 67, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 24, 2026.

Born on July 16, 1959, to Clarence Bennett and Hazel Weeks. Terry lived a life centered on faithfulness to his family, dedication to his work, and kindness to those around him. He spent the past 18 years employed with Lineage Logistics, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment.

Terry’s greatest joy in life was his family. He shared a loving life with his partner, Lorri Carter French, and cherished the time they spent together on their deck, in the yard watching and teaching the grandkids, or simply enjoying each other’s company. He was a devoted father, proud grandfather, caring brother, and loyal friend whose love and guidance touched many lives.

He is survived by his beloved partner, Lorri Carter French; his children, David (Vanessa) Verbergs, Joe Bennett, Nick (Shanna) Bennett, Eric (Stephanie) Carter, Chris Oswalt, and Lindsey (Cory) Houser; and his cherished grandchildren, Payton Carter, Makayla Carter, Colton Carter, Bentlee Houser, Cade Bennett, Tice Bennett, Josie Bennett, and Izaiah Urey.

He is also survived by his siblings, Lois (Dave) Clark, Sandra (Jim) Snodgrass, April Bennett, Brenda (Mark) Schaper, and Wesly Bennett, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Bennett and Hazel Weeks Hull, his brothers Scott Bennett and Marty Bennett, and mother-in-law Louise Carter.

Those who knew Terry knew of his unwavering loyalty to the Green Bay Packers. He was a true, lifelong fan who never missed an opportunity to cheer on his team. He found happiness in working in his garage, taking care of his yard, and spending time outdoors with his family. Whether fixing something around the house or teaching the “kids,” as he lovingly called them, a new skill, Terry found purpose in helping others. He also enjoyed sharing a cold Budweiser with family and friends, and in his younger years, he looked forward to evenings spent bowling.

Terry will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, hardworking nature, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His legacy is one of love, generosity, and dedication. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. The family appreciates the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time.  Memorials in Terry’s name (checks made to Lorri Carter French) may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
