Terry, the son of Junior Orville and Catherine Jane (McMaster) VeVerka, was born on February 15, 1942 in Newton. He grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton High School. Terry worked as a machinist at Winpower, Fisher Controls, Thombert, and Midwest Manufacturing, retiring in 2004.  After retirement he returned to Thombert part-time. Friday Maid-Rite nights and after church lunches on Sunday were always enjoyed by the whole family. Terry worked hard on his small orchard of fruit trees by his home. He was a constant provider and protector of his family.
