Theresa D. Gobb

   Theresa Diane Gobb, 54, of Des Moines, died Friday, June 20, 2025, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.  A Celebration of Theresa’s life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, beginning at 2 p.m., at her brother’s home at 520 S. 3rd Ave. W., in Newton. Memorials in Theresa’s name (checks can be made payable to Randy Roeth) can be brought to the celebration or to the funeral home.

   Theresa, the daughter of Joseph John Gobb III and Judy Kay Sutphin, was born June 2, 1971, in Newton. She grew up in Des Moines. She graduated from Des Moines East High School in 1989.  Theresa was disabled due to an accident she was in at a young age.  She enjoyed spending time with her daughter, making art—especially diamond art, playing board games and video games, baking and cooking.

    Those left to honor Theresa’s memory include her daughter, Tania Roeth of Des Moines; her siblings, Milissa Ford of Des Moines, Melinda (Joel) Woody of Kellogg, and Tim Gobb of Newton; her significant other, Randy Roeth of Des Moines; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
