Tim Snook, 65, of Newton, died Monday, April 19, 2021, at his home in Newton. No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials in Tim’s name can be sent to the family or can be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton. Please make checks payable to Roxie Snook.

   Tim, the son of Harry F. “Ted” and DeLone “Dee” (Enderson) Snook, was born May 6, 1955, in Des Moines. He graduated from Newton High School in 1973. Tim was united in marriage with Roxie Adkisson on January 21, 1983, in Newton. He had worked various construction jobs, at Progress Industries, and most recently had been a Correctional Officer at the Newton Correctional Facility, retiring in 2009. Tim also was the Santa at the Newton Mall for 30 years. He was a member of the AFSCME Council 61.  Tim enjoyed good music, good food, and riding motorcycle. He also loved spending time with his friends, time in the outdoors, and all sorts of animals.

  Tim is survived by his wife, Roxie Snook of Newton; his sister, Linda (Rick) Krause of Evanston, Illinois; many nieces and nephews; and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Connie Schlegel.
