William Guy Hobbs, III

William “Billy” Guy Hobbs III, 63, of Kellogg, died on Tuesday, January 13, 2025, at his home.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

Billy, the son of William G. and Roberta (Donahue) Hobbs, Jr., was born on January 12, 1963, in Grinnell.  He was a lifelong resident of Kellogg.  Billy graduated from Newton High School in 1981 and then received a degree from DMACC.  He would later attend Iowa State University.  Billy worked in construction and did cement work.  He enjoyed NASCAR racing and outdoors activities including fishing, trapping, and mushroom hunting.

Billy is survived by his siblings, Kristin Davis (Jordan Williams) of Ankeny and David Hobbs (Faith Robinson) of Ankeny; nieces, Shannon Clark, Jaden Hunter, and Cali Hobbs; great niece, Lennon; great nephew, Crosby; and his stepdad, David Hobbs of Ankeny.  He is preceded in death by his parents; significant other, Michelle Jackson; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
