Calvin L. Winningham

August 18, 1965 ~ January 28, 2016 (age 50) 50 Years Old

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 6th at the Kellogg American Legion, 210 High St. in Kellogg.

A Private Family Burial will be held at a later date at Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg.

Memorials to the Kellogg Fire Department or in Calvin’s name may be left at the Celebration of Life on the February 6th or at the funeral home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add Attn: Winningham Family on the envelope.

Calvin LeRoy Winningham, the son of Judy Henning Norton was born in Grinnell, Iowa. He had also lived in Rock Springs, Wyoming for several years before moving back to Kellogg.

He worked as a production worker and later in Quality Control at the Maytag Company for 22 years, when the company closed.

Calvin had been married to Marcia Henderson Winningham for 25 years and they were blessed with three children, A. J., Kalie and Madison. He was on the Kellogg Fire Department for 10+ years, the Kellogg Park Board for 5 years and the Kellogg Cemetery Board for 5 years. Calvin LOVED his grandkids, going fishin’ and mushroom hunting. 

Calvin died on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at his home in Kellogg.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Eva Henning; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Those left to cherish Calvin’s memory are his children, A. J. (Mollie) Winningham of Newton, Kalie Winningham of Kellogg and Madison Winningham of Kellogg; two grandchildren, Braylyn Winningham and Autumn Engle; his mother, Judy Norton of Kellogg; siblings, Teresa (Larry) Dhondt of Kellogg, Mike Norton of Newton, Craig Norton of Bonney Lake, Washington, Tina McCallum of Michigan and Dave Norton of Searsboro; and his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
