Jane Shine Obituary

Jane's family will greet friends starting at 4 p.m., Saturday, January 4th at the Westfield Community Church, 4164 20th St., Grinnell, Iowa.

Memorials to Jane’s family can be left at the funeral home. (Please make checks payable to J.D. Shine.)

Jane, the daughter of Marvin and Myrna (Trotter) Beach, was born February 12, 1969, at home in Hubbard, Iowa. She came into this world before she was supposed to and left before she was supposed to.

Jane was united in marriage with J.D. Shine on September 6, 1990, in Marshalltown. Jane had worked as a dietary aide for USA Healthcare. She enjoyed collecting tigers, which were her favorite animal. Jane was one of the most kind, loving, caring people who had the biggest heart. She had a selfless heart that was overflowing with love for her family and friends.

Jane is survived by her husband J.D. Shine of Newton; daughter, Crystal Shine; her sisters: Theresa Cranston of Grinnell, Deanna (Jim) Carmer of Newton, Melissa Howell of Grinnell, and Shannon (Merle) Fiser of Grinnell; her mother-in-law, Barbara Blystone of Newton; brothers-in-law, Clyde (Cathy) Shine of Newton and Dan (Jane) Shine of Newton; sisters-in-law, Kathy Blystone of Newton and Teresa (Steve) Pettyjohn of Oskaloosa; close family friend, Gary Gowin of Montezuma; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Jane was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ronald Beach and Allen Beach; and a niece, Collette.

J.D. would like to thank all their family members for their care and kindness at this time.

“Take My Life, and Let it Be”

 Take my life and let it be
consecrated, Lord, to thee.
Take my moments and my days;
let them flow in endless praise,
let them flow in endless praise.

 Take my hands and let them move
at the impulse of thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
swift and beautiful for thee,
swift and beautiful for thee.

Take my voice and let me sing
always, only, for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
filled with messages from thee,
filled with messages from thee.

Take my silver and my gold;
not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
every power as thou shalt choose,
every power as thou shalt choose.

Take my will and make it thine;
it shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart it is thine own;
it shall be thy royal throne,
it shall be thy royal throne.

Take my love; my Lord, I pour
at thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be
ever, only, all for thee,
ever, only, all for thee.

--Francis Havergal

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV
