Cinda Kay Shaver, 76, of Kellogg died on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at her home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 8, at Newton Union Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1-3 pm., Saturday, at the Moose Lodge. Memorials in Cinda’s name (checks made payable to Brianna Henness) may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
Cinda, the daughter of Berl and Marie (Reynolds) Eilander, was born on February 6, 1945 in Newton. She lived in Jasper County her entire life. Cinda worked for 25 years at the Jasper County Care Facility, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed word searches, going to the casino, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Cinda is survived by her children, Gail (Marion) Rodgers of Ankeny, Dan (Amy) Eilander of Davis, California, Brenda Eilander of Kellogg, Larry (Amber) Shaver of Newton, and Jennifer Shaver of Kellogg; her 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald (Joyce) Eilander of Albia and Sherry Wharff of Newton; and her fur baby, Romeo. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Dan Ebert; two brothers; two sisters; and two brothers-in-law.
