Donna L (Yearns) Bucklin

Donna L. Bucklin, 78, of Newton died on Monday, December 21, 2020, at her home in Newton Village.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 28, 2020, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Masks will be required and social distancing will be strictly enforced. Memorials to the Foundation Fighting Blindness may be left at the funeral home.

Donna, the daughter of Edmond Paul and Sarah Pauline (Toney) Yearns, was born on July 11, 1942 in Queen City, Missouri.  She grew up there and graduated from Queen City High School.  On June 3, 1967, Donna was united in marriage with Gerald Bucklin in Lancaster, Missouri. They made their home in Newton, Wisconsin for a short time, and then in Baxter for many years.  Donna worked in accounting at Hansen Directory, retiring in 1999.  Following their retirement, Gerald and Donna moved to Warsaw, Missouri until recently when they returned to Newton. In early years, Donna enjoyed riding horses. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and loved to go dancing.

Donna is survived by her husband, Gerald Bucklin of Newton; daughter, Sarah Christian (Darren Clausen) of Monroe; daughter-in-law, Paula Christian of Illinois; her grandchildren, Amanda (Daniel) Mendoza, Brandon (Heather) Evans, and Daniel Witzel; great-grandchildren, Mayarah and Christian; her brother, Ron (Diane) Yearns of Independence, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, William Paul Christian.
