Eugene H Jones

Eugene (Gene) H. Jones, 72, of Newton, Iowa, passed away on March 14, 2024. Gene was predeceased by his parents, Walter Ronald Jones and Viva Arlene Jones; a brother, Richard Jones; and two grandsons Jonathan Sutherland and Andrew Perez. He is survived by siblings, Linda (David) Rex, Joyce (Al) Wood, and Wayne (Charlotte) Jones; children, Emily Hamby, Sara (Roger) Sutherland, Jeremiah (Monica) Jones, and Rachel (Paul) Jones; and 9 grandchildren. Gene was born on March 29, 1951 to Walter and Viva Jones. He grew up in Van Wert, Iowa. Gene was known for his extensive knowledge of birds and his exceptional artistic talent, demonstrated primarily by his amazing drawings of birds.
