Kathleen Fallon, 71, of Newton died on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 2, at Cowboy Church in Newton. The family will greet friends after the service with a luncheon at the church. Memorials to the GRMC Hospice may be left at the church the day of the service or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
Kathleen, the daughter of Gene and Letty (Repp) Havelock, was born on December 14, 1947 in Albia. She grew up in Albia and graduated from Albia High School in 1966. Kathleen was united in marriage with James Fallon on June 11, 1966 in Albia. In 1970, they moved to Newton where they would make their home. Kathleen had worked at Wal-Mart for 25 years, most recently as a department manager in ladies wear. She enjoyed attending Cowboy Church, going to garage sales and flea markets, reading, baking, and cooking.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, James Fallon of Newton; children, Jamie Fallon of Newton and Kim Fallon-Steele of Des Moines; granddaughter, Riley Steele of Des Moines; and her siblings, Ronnie Haines of Waterloo, Bonnie (Gary) Carter of Albia, and Sandy (Ron) Spencer of Albia. She is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Gaige Anderson.
