Scott Allen Aldrich

Scott Allen Aldrich, 56, of Newton died on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at the Wittemberg Cemetery in rural Newton.  Memorials in Scott’s name (checks made to Josh Aldrich) may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

Scott, the son of Robert and Sandra (Moon) Aldrich, was born on August 6, 1966 in Ames.  He grew up in Newton and attended Newton schools. Scott worked for Dodd’s Trash and Recycling and enjoyed fishing and bicycling. He was also a talented artist. 

Scott is survived by his children Josh (Jessica) Aldrich of Ankeny and Danielle (Erik) Miller of Rolland; grandchildren, Riley Aldrich, Aubrie Miller, Hudson Miller, Jensen Miller, and Theodore Miller; and his brothers, Tony Aldrich and Sean Aldrich, both of Newton.  He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Aldrich and mother, Sandra (Joe) Dodge.
