Vicki Lynn (Peiffer) Carter

Vicki Lynn Carter, 64, of Newton died on Monday, February 15, 2021, at her home.  No services are scheduled at this time. The Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory will be handling the cremation.  Memorials to Vicki’s family (checks made payable to David Carter) may be left at the funeral home.

Vicki, the daughter of Delbert and Phyllis (Shafer) Peiffer, was born on January 4, 1957 in Newton.  She was a lifelong resident of Newton and lived most of her adult life within a block of her childhood home.  Vicki graduated from Newton High School in 1975.  She worked for many years at Newton Manufacturing and most recently at the Vernon Company.  She enjoyed gardening and doing puzzles, many of which she would later frame.  Vicki also loved animals; especially her dog, Marty.

Vicki is survived by her children, Bill Carter and David Carter, both of Newton; siblings, Tammy Peiffer of Newton, Randy Peiffer of Grimes, and Sharon Peiffer Mabie of Melbourne; her mother-in-law, Thelma Carter of Newton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
