So sorry to hear about Richard. We were 2nd cousins, my Gma was Leona (Lutz) Stanberry and my mom was MaryRosalie (Stanberry) Young. We would always go to Monroe for Gpa Lutz's birthday, Nov 1st and once in awhile for Thanksgiving or Christmas (Gpa Lutz always had to have a goose) rotating with my dad's side of the family. Richard and Norman always came over to Gpa's house when we got there. Richard always showed off his knife, he was first person I knew that had one, and also his BB gun which was a first also. We would walk around Monroe before and after dinner. After Gpa Lutz died we lost touch with the Lutz side of the family. My Aunt Ruby (Stanberry) Sutton told us about the Lutz Reunion in Marshalltown. For several years we would take my mom and Aunt Becky (Bernice) (Stanberry) Cox until their health began to fail. Richard always kept Aunt Becky informed about the things at Maytag, good or bad. My mom and Anna Mae always kept in touch with each other while Anna Mae lived in Des Moines. My memories of visiting Monroe as a kid are very vivid and an important part of my past and Richard made it fun. Remember the past and cherish your memories. Our sincere condolences to all of Richard's family.
