So sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I have lots of memories of the Brouwer family growing up in the same neighborhood. Enjoyed talking to Velma at Park Centre when I went to see my Mom too, she always remembered me!

My sister and I send our deepest condolences to the family of sweet Velma. We had the fortune of getting to know her, as our mother sat at Velma's table this last spring/summer during her stay at Park Center. Velma lit up a room with her fun personality and beautiful outfits, right down to her perfectly matched necklace. We so enjoyed her stories of growing up and later life on the farm. And oh how she beamed when talking about the entire family gathering for her big birthday celebration . She was an incredibly special person, who leaves a mark on your heart simply by knowing her.
