Jay Allen Heath

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 28th at the Ira United Church, 6834 Main St. in Ira.       

The family will greet friends immediately following the memorial service at the church with a lunch.

Memorials for Jay’s sons may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home & Crematory or at the church on the morning of the service. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add Attn: Heath Family on the envelope.      

Jay Allen Heath, 44, of Prairie City died on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at his home in Prairie City.

Jay was the son of John Charles and Jacquline A. “Jackie” Sutton Heath and he was born in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a graduate of Colfax-Mingo High School. He had currently completed his training to become an over the road trucker.

On June 7, 1997, Jay was united in marriage with Kristie J. Milligan in Pella, Iowa. He was a member of the Ira United Church.

Those left to honor Jay’s memory are his wife, Kristie Heath of Monroe; sons, Jonathon, Christopher, Benjamin and Zachary Heath, all of Monroe; his mother, Jackie Heath of Mingo; step siblings, John (Janet) Heath of Winterset, Iowa, Joan (Tim) Rasmussen of Omaha, Nebraska and Julie (Jeff) Menssen of Dunnell, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his father, John C. Heath.
