Therron Smith

Therron Smith, 27, formerly of Newton and Oskaloosa, died on Monday, October 10, 2016.  A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, October 16, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.   A private family graveside service will be held at Wittemberg Cemetery. 

Therron, the son of Ed and Laurie (Walker) Smith, was born on February 3, 1989 in Des Moines.  He grew up in Newton and Oskaloosa.  Most recently Therron had been living in Montezuma and was working at a print shop.  Therron enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his dog.  He was also an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. 

Those left to honor Therron’s memory are his father, Ed (Janie) Smith of Oskaloosa; mother, Laurie Smith (Scott Duncan) of Newton; his son, Reagan; brothers, Tyler (Bev) Smith of Kentucky, Trevor Smith of Ottuwma, and Scotty Allspach of Newton; his paternal grandparents, Marilyn “Kay” (Dennis) Boulicault of Newton; maternal grandmother, Ina Walker of Newton; his niece and nephew; and many cousins.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Edward Smith and maternal grandfather, Larry M. Walker.
